Rail-mounted container gantry crane is mainly used for container unloading, handling and stacking in container railway transfer yards and large container storage and transportation yards.
It can load and unload 20', 40', 45' international standard containers. The lifting capacity are generally 36t and 40.5t. According to the different sites, container storage and transportation process and loading and unloading vehicles, the span can be 26m, 30m, 35m; the cantilever is divided into structural forms such as no cantilever, single cantilever and double cantilever; the lifting height can be divided into three to four piles and four to five piles. There are two types for container rotation: upper trolley rotation and lower spreader rotation.

The rail-mounted container gantry crane is composed of main beam, rigid and flexible supporting legs, traveling trolley, lifting mechanism, crane traveling mechanism, electrical system, operating cab, etc. Rail-mounted container gantry crane generally requires a large clearance in the width direction of the supporting legs, so the upper part of the supporting leg is opened into a U-shape to connect with the upper part of the supporting leg, and a trolley maintenance frame is erected.
