A column-mounted jib crane served two workstations before our top-running overhead crane was installed. Toolmakers often interrupt their work while waiting for the availability of jib cranes. Therefore, it was decided to make each station autonomous using its own overhead crane with a lifting capacity of 5 tons. 4 overhead cranes travel on two steel structures, in order to avoid accidental collisions, limit switches ensure travel safety.
